100+ businesses and growing

A full season starts with enquiries in winter
For a painting business the diary is everything. Exterior painting depends on the weather, and between awarding and carrying out the job there are often months. Whoever still has to start on quotes in spring has gaps in the summer.
On top of that, painting work is easily compared on price. The customer sees four quotes that look alike and picks the lowest. Online marketing for painters is therefore about your own enquiries, in on time, from people who already trust you before you visit.
With the Growth System you see every month how many enquiries came in, where they came from and how many were signed.

How your customer searches for a painter
Interior and exterior are two different questions, with their own season and their own customer.
Exterior painting
Searches like “have window frames painted” or “exterior painter” with a place name. This demand peaks in spring and summer.
Interior painting
Searches like “have a ceiling whitewashed” or “interior painter”. Work that can also continue in winter and keeps your planning even.
Wood rot and maintenance
People who see wood rot or want a maintenance visit first want to know what is wrong. Good explanation on your site turns a reader into an enquirer.
Homeowners’ associations and property
Property managers and homeowners’ associations choose differently from private customers. They look for a fixed partner for multi-year maintenance and work with schedules and budgets.
Exterior work in summer, interior work in winter
Exterior painting runs roughly from April to September, interior work fills the winter months. That calls for two separate pages and two separate campaigns. A page that mentions both together doesn’t score well on either.
We tune Google Ads to that rhythm. In winter we bring in outdoor work for the coming season and fill up on indoor work. In season we steer towards the jobs with the best margin and scale back when the crew is full.
- Winter: schedule outdoor work for spring
- April to September: exterior painting and window frames
- Autumn and winter: interior painting and maintenance

Lead platform and own enquiries compared
Both bring in jobs. The difference lies in who shares the customer, what you pay per job and what you've built up after a year.
Lead platform
- Quick first enquiries, without your own marketing
- The enquiry often goes to other businesses too
- Pay per lead, even if the job doesn't go ahead
- The customer mainly compares on price
- Reviews and data sit on the platform
- If you stop, the enquiries stop
Your own enquiries
- Takes longer to build, the first months are an investment
- No competitor in the same enquiry
- You pay for reach that you steer yourself
- The customer chooses based on trust in your business
- Reviews, site and customer data are yours
- Website, SEO and Business Profile keep working

Frequently asked questions
Don't see your question here? Call, WhatsApp or email us. You'll get an answer within one working day.

Does Google Ads work for painters?
Yes, if you advertise to people who are looking for a painter right now. Searches like “have window frames painted” with a place name show clear buying intent. We exclude DIY searches, job searches and places outside your service area.
When should I start advertising for exterior painting?
In winter or early spring. People plan outdoor work well ahead, and between awarding and carrying out the job there are often months. Whoever only starts in May won’t fill the summer.
Should I offer interior and exterior painting separately on my site?
Yes. They are two different questions with their own season and their own keywords. With a separate page per service you get found better for both and can adjust per season.
Can you also reach homeowners’ associations and property managers?
That’s possible, but it takes a different approach than with private customers. A homeowners’ association searches via Google less often and decides in a board or meeting. In the intro call we honestly look at which part of your market can best be reached online.
How do I avoid being compared on price alone?
By building trust before you turn up. Before and after photos of your own work, real reviews and an explanation of preparation and wood rot show why your price is right. Replying fast also makes the difference.
What if my crew is fully booked in summer?
Then we scale the ads back or steer them towards interior work and the next season. You don’t pay for enquiries you can’t take on. We agree on that together in the monthly meeting.
