More meter cupboards, fewer odd sockets
An electrician is searched for in two ways. With a fault it has to be quick: the circuit keeps tripping and the customer calls whoever picks up first. With a planned job, such as a new meter cupboard, extending a consumer unit for an induction hob or an EV charger, the customer compares and asks for quotes.
That second group brings the jobs with margin. The customer wants to know roughly what it costs, how long the power will be off and whether the grid operator needs to be involved. Whoever explains that clearly online gets the enquiry.
That is where it often goes wrong. One page with everything you do and a general contact form. Then you only hear on the phone whether it is about a lamp or a complete consumer unit.

This is how your customers search

A trade with little seasonality
Search demand for electrician is fairly even through the year, between 9,900 and 14,800 searches a month. It is highest in April and lowest in December and from May to August. Replacing a meter cupboard fluctuates even less, between 1,600 and 2,400 a month. Emergency electrician jumped to 9,900 in April 2026, against 480 to 1,000 in most other months. That is an outlier, not a season.
For your planning this means a fairly fixed budget in Google Ads works all year round. The difference comes from the search terms you choose. Electrician and emergency electrician have the highest click prices, up to well over €19. Replacing a meter cupboard and replacing a consumer unit cost a lot less per click and deliver exactly the jobs with margin.
- Electrician: between 9,900 and 14,800 per month
- April: peak month
- Replacing a meter cupboard: between 1,600 and 2,400 all year round

What the Growth System does for an electrician
Six parts that work together to bring in more of the larger electrical jobs.
A website that delivers enquiries
A page for each job, such as meter cupboard replacement, consumer unit upgrades and EV chargers, with photos of your own work and an explanation of lead times.
Google Ads on buying intent
Ads on replacing a meter cupboard, replacing a consumer unit and new meter cupboard in your service area. We only use the expensive generic terms when they pay off.
Found on Google Maps
A strong Google Business Profile with reviews and photos of meter cupboards, so you show up first when people search for an electrician nearby.
Enquiries you can size up
The form asks for the type of job, the year the home was built and a photo of the meter cupboard. For emergencies, the call button comes first.
Tracking to the quote
You see which enquiries became a signed job and whether they came from Google Ads, Google Maps or your website.
One electrician per region
We work with one business per trade per region. So we won't help another electrician in your area.
How we start with your electrical business
A fixed rhythm for the first three months, then we adjust every month.

Intro call on day 1
We map out your market, your margins and your current enquiries, including which jobs you do and don't want. We tell you honestly whether the system fits.
Baseline in week 1
We track every enquiry through to the quote, so you can see which meter cupboard or consumer unit job came from which channel.
Foundation in month 1
Website and conversion in order: a page for each job, a clear call button and a form that asks for a photo of the meter cupboard. In 9 out of 10 cases, this is where it starts.
Google Ads in months 2 and 3
Ads on meter cupboards and consumer units in your service area, with a fixed budget throughout the year. From month 3 this is followed by SEO, then we adjust every month.
Your own enquiries instead of odd jobs
Lead platforms and separate parties
- The same enquiry often goes to several electricians
- Lots of small jobs with little margin
- You know little in advance about the meter cupboard or the home
- You build up little name recognition or few reviews of your own
With Marketingkenners
- Enquiries come in only to you
- You focus on meter cupboards, consumer units and EV chargers
- The form collects a photo and the year the home was built
- Every job strengthens your own profile and reviews
Does the Growth System fit your electrical business?
It works best if you recognise this.
- You want more jobs of €2,000 or more, such as a new meter cupboard or the complete electrics for a renovation
- You want to grow in your own region
- You can follow up enquiries quickly, ideally the same day
- You have engineers available for more planned jobs
- You want to know which enquiry became a signed quote
- You mainly want more clicks, likes or followers. We steer on enquiries and signed jobs.
- You’d rather try it yourself first. Start in the knowledge base
- You don’t know yet where the leak is. Take the free growth scan first

Frequently asked questions
Don't see your question here? Call, WhatsApp or email us. You'll get an answer within one working day.

Does Google Ads work for electricians?
Yes, but choose your search terms carefully. Electrician and emergency electrician have a highest click price of well over €18 and €19. Replacing a meter cupboard and replacing a consumer unit are a lot cheaper per click and bring in bigger jobs. Read more about Google Ads.
When will I see the first enquiries?
Month 1 goes to the foundation, in month 2 the ads start. From that moment enquiries can come in. How many depends on your region and your budget, and we promise nothing about that. What you do see every month is what came in and what got signed.
Do you also work for my competitor?
Not in the same region. We work with one business per region per trade. So we don’t help two electricians in the same area at the same time.
What does it cost?
That depends on your region, your goals and what’s already in place. In the intro call we look at what’s needed and you get a tailored proposal. That’s why we don’t name a fixed amount here.
Do I need a new website?
Not always. Often a page for each job and a form that asks for a photo of the meter cupboard already help a lot. In 9 out of 10 cases, though, it does start with the foundation. Read more about website design.
